One of the issues that Shell prioritizes is road safety. Shell attaches great importance to sharing its knowledge and expertise in this field with the society. More than 246 thousand people have been reached in six years with the trainings organized on road safety and the "There Are No Small Mistakes in Traffic" program. For the last five years, it has been regularly conveying important tips and critical reminders to listeners to prevent traffic accidents with the programs it sponsors on Radio Traffic.

In 2023, Shell supported the "Traffic Firefly" project by the Education Volunteers Foundation of Türkiye (TEGV) as a corporate sponsor, marking the 100th anniversary of its operations in Türkiye. Traffic Firefly Learning Unit is a project in which educational programs developed to enhance traffic knowledge and awareness of primary school children and to help them acquire traffic-related concepts, skills and attitudes are implemented. The project reaches 1,500 students and their parents annually.

Believing that all accidents can be prevented and "Zero Accident" is possible, it is extremely important for everyone to fully comply with the traffic rules and for our beloved children to be aware of this issue at an early age in order to continue our safety journey as a country and prevent traffic accidents. The "Traffic Firefly" project contributes to the "Sustainable Cities and Communities" goal, which aims to make cities safe and sustainable, from the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
