ATAŞ Terminal

A Major Fuel Storage Terminal: ATAŞ

Turcas holds a direct 6.02% stake in ATAŞ (Anadolu Tasfiyehanesi A.Ş.), which began operations as an oil refinery in Mersin in 1962 and today operates as a fuel terminal. The current shareholders of ATAŞ are PO (Vitol) with 61.45% and Shell & Turcas Petrol A.Ş. with 32.53%. Turcas’s total direct (6.02%) and indirect (32.53% x 30% = 9.76%) shareholding in ATAŞ amounts to 15.78%.

As a result of investments realized after the decision of the partners to close down the ATAŞ Refinery and transform it into a large-scale oil products terminal on the Mediterranean coast in 2004, ATAŞ Terminal today serves as a licensed storage facility.

The terminal has a petroleum products storage capacity of 577,000 m³ and features a jetty capable of accommodating high-capacity vessels.
